Patios, decks, backyards all great spaces for summer decor. Living outdoors in the summer is a wonderful way to extend the living space of your home. During the summer we eat our meals outside. Maybe even a place to watch a movie or play games as a family. So it’s nice to make the aesthetic and Decor outside our home appealing. Here are a few tips on summertime outdoor decor:
- Define your zones. The first thing you want to do consider is the design of your patio space. What functions you want it to serve. Will it be a space to eat, relax, or entertain?
- Have an eating area. The patio is a great area to eat breakfast in the morning or dinner in the evening. A round table helps open up space for better flow.
- A sitting area on your patio is always nice. A place to sit and chat with friends and read a book and relax. You can use two oversize chairs and a table that doubles as a footrest for your sitting spot.
- Make sure you have a little bit of privacy. A wooden fence or deck. Add some creeping vines which give you a little pop of color along with privacy.
- Consider a beverage bar. When entertaining or even while out on the deck alone, it’s nice to have drinks. You can set up a drink station with cute napkins coasters and barbecue supplies. Set up an outdoor bar cart.
- Flowers in containers and hanging baskets are a nice addition to the outside Decor. Choose colors that lift your space and add a pop.
